Blog Entryhow's married life?Nov 27, '08 11:38 AM
for everyone
Almost six months to our marriage (so fast!!), it’s been numerous times that I’ve been asked, how’s married life?

It’s like everyone is expecting me to say something negative. Well, to disappoint ‘everyone,’ Ton and I have been living an exceptionally normal 6 months into our marriage. After 9 years of being together, what do you expect? The only difference would actually be spending every night with him. And of course, waking up every morning with him by my side (well almost, except for the nights that he sleeps in the airport for work). I get to cook breakfast and dinner for him. Pag late ang gising, what’s for breakfast.. cereal, haha!

Any arguments, you might ask? Well, nothing new, dating pinag aawayan ay ang kalat, well, surprise surprise, kalat parin ang pinag aawayan. Hahaha! There’s this one incident, I was so pissed because I just cleaned the unit. He came home and somehow messed it up. I told him, “hay nako, bahala ka, hindi ko talaga liligpitin yan. Tignan natin kung gano katagal na makalat yan (referring to the table)” sabi lang nya, “ako pa hinamon mo, tandaan mo kwarto ko?” nyaaaaaa!! To hell with my taas kilay, arms akimbo… niligpit ko rin. Hahaha, I couldn’t help it. I will not live in a hellhole.

After almost six months, what have I learned? I am a wife now, with wife duties (no mom duties as of yet) which is primarily taking care of my Ton. I have to be certain he has what he needs. So far, smooth sailing ;)
And after six months I can say, I think I got the hang of it. But there were times that I was so lost, even at work I was a goner. I was so out of my comfort zone and was searching for my balance. Well now, I think I’m a bit alright.

Anyway, for most of the time that I’m left by myself, I have to entertain myself out of boredom. No thanks to Destiny cable (stuck kami with this cable provider) and smatbro, I get to be OC and clean up all the time! Several things I’ve learned when moving out, and being independent:

-    you have to have basahan! One of the things we forgot to buy. Can you just imagine, after washing the dishes! Hahaha!
-    you need more than one set of bed sheet
-    stock up on necessities, you’ll never know what you might need
-    mind the expiration date of bread and egg. I swear, hindi namin kayang ubusin yung bread before its expiration date.
-    don’t forget to ask the water delivery people how long the delivery would take. We actually waited for almost one whole day just for the water to arrive.

Just for sharing, I’ve had so many ‘first’ experiences living with Ton:

-    Getting complaints from our neighbor. Maingay daw ako! Hehehe, actually, yung TV yung maingay ;)
-    First time to air out the smell of bacon! Can you imagine? Oh dear, amoy carbon :p
-    First time to clean up our place in less than an hour. Sa dalas ko atang mag linis, wala nakong malinis :p

Exciting ang life, I can’t wait to have a baby of our own! I’m still a bit scared with the thought of being a parent. Yikes, scary…

Blog EntryOde to Baga..Sep 8, '08 5:46 AM
for everyone

Sadness..

I was just about to post the photos from my cam, and came across these pix:

Noteworthy: the ultimate inuman combination: hard plus pinakbet! Ohyes!

I recently heard from Des that Bagaberde Pasig has closed down. All thought it was just renovating, apparently, they’ve closed shop already! Sigh, Baga have been our ‘hangout’ (so bagets) by default. Whenever Side A’s name is posted on Baga’s marquee, for sure, Des would message me, Side A tayo!!

Countless memories, with the Isidro’s! Although once lang talaga ako nalasing.. Numerous basagan moments come to mind whenever Baga topic is discussed:

The infamous, Ano mang nainom mo kwento! Ahahaha!!

Tequila shots way way back!

From almost two cases of beer (kasi ang agang dumating), to the phase na bawal na mag beer si Bimbo, nyek!

I swear I love Flipside, but secretly fan narin ako ng Side A! ahaha, we actually heard Side A’s transiition from one repertoire to another! Para kaming groupy ;p

I just hope we get to have another Baga hangout venue soon! (some pix, memorrries!)

Blog EntryI want to make this workMar 21, '08 7:18 AM
for everyone
We're planning to do this for our wedding, i really hope we can pull this off! The people are all friends of the couple.

Cute diba?

I feel old-er (hehe)! With around 2 months left, i have to start seriously organizing our wedding!

I am that type of person who would spend hours (yes! hours!!) thinking.

I would actually picture our big day, and think, was i able to pay/reserve our crew meals?
What do i do with suppliers that won't show up during our big day?
Do i actually have a supplier for the tiniest of details? (table numbers - how trivial!!)

On top of that, I still budget in my head (haha, sometimes while walking), what i need to pay for, or where do i get the money to buy this watch that i've been drooling over!

My thoughts are already crowded as it is. Mini proxy season is now just an event that i've been waiting for (oooh, hinahanap-hanap, hahaha!). ;)

I've spent piles of scratch paper, listing "Things to do" -- "Things to ask (mwahahaha, usually things to ask Neva, and things to ask Osang)" -- "Ton should ... (ask full name of ninang, ask about wedding ring, etc etc)" --

After all that.. YES!! May na-dagdag pa!! Waaaaaaaaaaah!

Ton just informed (around 2 weeks ago, i think), that we have to 'renovate' this one door unit in their compound since dun pala kme 'assigned' -- for lack of a better term (situated? maninirahan?).

And the 1st step that we have to do is research, research! Gardemit! Researcher na nga talaga ako

We have to conceptualize (on paper) what we actually want, show this to an architect, then start from there. Hay, it took me 2 weeks for it to sink in! And i only started checking on small space designs yesterday. I even asked help from Des and Kelly. Crap talaga! Now, i've got tons of websites, and i hate getting sidetracked, pero here's what i love love love (but i know is not naman useful to our future abode):

I love love love!! hahaha, placemat sha, pero pop up! natandaan ko agad yung invites nina Nevs! Heehee! I know i know, this is the least of my worries, pero i couldn't help but capture this one.

Yun lang, have to 'research' now!

Blog EntryMga ma-mi-miss koFeb 11, '08 8:34 AM
for everyone
After the wedding, I will be moving in sa compound nina Ton. I know for sure that I will resist this change. Taurus (according sa kung saang horoscope profile) hates change! Patay! Anyway, I'm focusing na lang on the fact that Ton and I would finally be together after 9 years! so wala ng ihahatid, hehe, ewan ko na lang, as Ton is a creature of habit, baka bigla niya akong ihatid miski kasal na kami! Lagot, batok ang abot nya sa'kin!

For sure, ma-mi-miss ko yung room ko, even if it's makalat, I know where things are, let's take mama vicks' place, hahaha, ginawa pa shang example, but for sure, alam namin where things should be. Ma-mi-miss ko yung bed ko, (one unknown thing about me) may scoliosis ako, and I can't sleep (comfortably) in a soft bed, nangangalay likod ko. Ma-mi-miss ko yung floor ko, dito ako humihiga pag malala ang likod ko!

But I guess, mas ma-mi-miss ko yung tao sa bahay namin. I realized it this morning. Ever since my mom died (will be 6 years this 2008), naging single dad (hehe) yung dad ko. We've never been close real close, super strict sha samin, pero once lang nya talaga ako napagalitan na humagulgol ako, and i still remember it like it was yesterday. Nasobrahan na ko sa gmk, tapos sakto, nag shift pako from Eng to Finance (engineer dad ko, imagine his disappointment!). I love him to death, and will really miss him when I leave the house. Kaso, mukhang pinag aagawan na nila ng kuya ko yung room ko! haha, kainis!!

Anyway, after a very tiring Sunday, pangit ang gising ko ng Monday. The last memory that I had was:

- I have to change into my pantulog (nakapang alis pa ko except for my pants)
- I have to remove my contacts
- I have to set the snooze sa TV ko
- I have to set my alarm sa phone
- Ano nga ba ending ng Sweet Home Alabama (sa ch.2 palabas)

o diba, I guess those were pretty simple tasks that I had to do. But noooooo!!!!

*My very big pillow, and other pillows became an instant kumot to me, and someone was poking my pillow to wake me, I'm guessing this was around 4am*

Kitty: O dad!
Dad: Uy, ano, tulog ka na? (you should know my dad, he does not have a malambing voice, so stern at slightly sarcastic ang tone nya)
Kitty: Tsk, daaad, opppppo
Dad: Tulog ka pala eh, eh bakit bukas ang TV?
Kitty: Ah ehhh.... (sheeeet, TRICK QUESTION!!) dikolam (sinilip ko pa ung TV, all i was hearing was this ttttttttttttttttttttttttttt sound, na naka-sign off na ung ch.2)

Hahahaha! after that, i fell right back to sleep. Then around 6am, nagising ako, checked the watch in my room, saw that it was 7:07am, and mentally thought that i can sleep until 7:15am. Fell right back to sleep, nagising ako kasi naisip ko...

SIRA NGA PALA YUNG RELO KO!! stupid!!!

ayun, nagmadali na naman ako, and oh yeah, till now 7:07 parin yung time, hahaha, wala pala akong battery.

for everyone

I can't believe Ton and I have four months left, yep, four months!! yikes! ang bilis na lang nito. I should have listened to my dad:

Ton: Magpapaalam po kami (this was last May 2007)

Dad: Ano meron? (smiling... erp, smirking actually)

Ton: *may kalabit pa sakin* Magpapakasal na po kami

Dad: Good! Kailan niyo balak?

Ton: Mga 2nd half po ng 2008

Dad: O, mabilis na lang yun

Kitty: Daaaaaaaaadddd!! matagal pa yun!!

*Hay, why do I never listen to my dad?! crap, I hate cramming pa naman, it's weird lang that kung alin pa yung important (legal docs, like marriage license), ito pa yung dapat i-accomplish a little before the wedding date just because of the expiration/validity. Hay, no use complaining!

Anyway, the suppliers that we don't have as of yet are actually (pronounced: akshalee, hahahaha!!) suppliers for: barong, shoes (shopping!!), bridal car (under weird negotiation with Bong-erts), and emcee (pending with our caterer).

With only four months left, I'm starting to have intense headaches! Imagine your brain wanting to creep away from your skull, just to rest! hahahah!! I'm freaking tired!! I just want to be married, grr.. hindi talaga ako sanay mag "host" ng party, I think never pa ako nag birthday party! hahaha! I'm happiest with my closest friends beside me, and since I have different groups, then this results to numerous dinners/tambays. Ü

May funny pa pala kaming usap ni Ton:

Kitty: Veyve, san tayo titira right after the wedding?
